Michael Glancy is a CEO of JLL’s offices in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. He is responsible for ongoing business transformation that includes new management structures, new technologies, and new methods of collaboration – all in pursuit of creating new opportunities for clients.
Michael’s real estate career began in 2006 as a Sales Manager for Burns & Co. in his native Northern Ireland. He moved to Hong Kong in 2009 to take up another sales management role with Pinnacle Property Investment before joining JLL Hong Kong in 2010, where he set up, managed and developed the International Residential sales team.
After two years with the International Residential team, Michael shifted his career to office leasing with the Markets department, where he spent eight years representing multi-national corporate (MNC) occupiers and was responsible for growing our flex-space offering and working on landlord projects.
In early 2021, Michael was appointed Managing Director of JLL Thailand. From there, his remit expanded to cover more of our key Southeast Asian offices. JLL Indonesia came under his command in 2024. Since early 2025, he has also been responsible for the Philippines and Vietnam offices. He now supports his teams and clients in the provision of a wide range of real estate sectors and services across Southeast Asia, with his areas of oversight including office leasing, property and asset management, investment, valuation, research, and consultancy – as well as logistics, industrial and sustainability.
