As Head of Retail Research & Consulting for JLL EMEA, Tjard Martinus leads European and global research for international retailers and real estate investors. He collaborates with colleagues from Capital Markets, Valuations, and Market Advisory, and is a member of the European Retail Leasing Board. His responsibilities include impactful analyses to support property transactions (ranging from €150 million to €2 billion) and complex advisory projects that support the strategic decisions of international retailers.
Tjard is a recognised international retail real estate analyst, with in-depth knowledge of diverse European retail markets, including high streets, shopping centres, retail warehouse parks, grocery real estate, and outlet centres. He advises retailers and investors with valuable insights and analyses. As the author of leading research reports and a sought-after speaker within JLL, Tjard builds strong relationships to obtain market information and promote strategic decision-making.
Since 2011, Tjard has been a retail real estate analyst at JLL, initially based in London and since 2017 in Amsterdam. He leads international projects for retailers and investors and regularly presents to executive boards. Previously, Tjard worked at Deloitte Real Estate in London and before that at JLL Netherlands, where he was involved in real estate consultancy and research activities.
Tjard holds a BSc in Architecture and an MSc in Real Estate Management from TU Delft.
