Melissa is a seasoned global real estate executive who currently serves as the Global Occupancy Planning & Management Operations Leader within Workplace Management at JLL, overseeing a business line of over 800 professionals spanning 70 countries. In this role, she delivers strategic occupancy planning products, solutions, and technology tools supporting a diverse portfolio of more than 100 real estate clients occupying over 900 million square feet of space.
A 14-year JLL veteran, Melissa brings more than 30 years of corporate real estate experience to her leadership role. She previously held key positions in the U.S. and U.K., advising international corporate occupiers on real estate strategies to manage and maximize portfolio efficiency. As a former Global Account Director for JLL, she managed multi-disciplinary teams across 60 countries in North and Latin America, Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Melissa's track record includes leading significant corporate real estate initiatives, such as managing client company bifurcations involving hundreds of lease actions and related portfolio activity. She has directed process improvement and standardization projects for global clients, including real estate operational efficiency initiatives that resulted in more than $100 million in operational savings.
Before joining JLL, she held leadership positions in corporate real estate at Telcordia Technologies (Ericsson), The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, and Prudential. Her comprehensive expertise encompasses site search, building analysis, lease negotiations, construction management, facilities management, occupancy and master planning, project management, workplace experience and strategy, technology implementation, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
Education
A co-founder of JLL's EMEA Women's Business Network, Melissa holds a master's degree in facilities and construction management from Pratt Institute and a bachelor's degree in interior architecture. She holds LEED AP and IFMA CFM professional designations and is an IFMA contributing author and beta tester.
