Alan Tse is Global Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, where he oversees JLL’s global legal strategy, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. In this role, he provides strategic counsel to JLL’s leadership, ensuring the firm operates within a strong legal framework, while supporting its business growth and global operations.
Before joining JLL, Alan served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Petco, where he led the company’s legal and regulatory affairs. Prior to that, he was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Churchill Downs, Inc., playing a key role in corporate governance and strategic initiatives. His previous experience also includes serving as Vice President and General Counsel for LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A., Inc., where he managed legal operations for the company’s mobile division in the U.S.
Alan is deeply involved in the legal community and serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Counsel, where he previously chaired its Advocacy Committee. He is also a co-founder and board member of the Asian American Legal Foundation, advocating for greater representation and equity in the legal profession.
Throughout his career, Alan has been recognized for his leadership and contribution to the legal field. He was named one of the Best Lawyers Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association in 2005 and was recognized as a Top General Counsel to Watch by NYSE’s Corporate Board Member magazine in 2012.
Alan holds a degree in economics and political science from the University of California, Berkeley and earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
